Utilities Operations SupervisorThe Utilities Operations Supervisor oversees daily unit operations, ensuring safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient performance in line with business objectives. The role manages 4 Shift Team Leads, 1 Field Safety/Project Representative, and 10 Outside Operators, providing direction, training, performance management, and daily coaching.
Key Accountabilities:- Safety & Compliance: Enforce INEOS safety principles, site policies, and environmental regulations. Lead safety programs, audits, incident response, and compliance with process safety management.
- Team Leadership: Develop and mentor staff, ensure consistent standards across shifts, manage training and performance, foster teamwork, and uphold union agreements.
- Operations & Reliability: Direct daily plant operations, troubleshoot processes and equipment, coordinate with maintenance and engineering, optimize resources, and monitor KPIs.
- Maintenance Coordination: Submit and track high-quality work notifications, ensure equipment readiness, support turnaround planning, and oversee field operator activities.
- Cost & Efficiency: Control operating costs, maximize energy efficiency and production, manage overtime, and align operations with budget goals.
- 10+ years of plant operations experience (including 5+ years as a Console Operator) and supervisory experience.
- High school diploma or GED required; P-Tech degree preferred.
- TWIC card, valid U.S. driver’s license, and permanent U.S. work authorization.
- Strong knowledge of process operations, safety/environmental requirements, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, PI Process Book, and LIMS.
- Leadership, decision-making, and communication skills with proven ability to manage competing priorities.
