Responsibilities

• Monitor all aspects of quality control relative to mechanical equipment to ensure adherence to the Company technical requirements and applicable codes.
• Provide weekly input to the QA/QC reporting system, with regards to trends and unresolved exceptions and problems.
• Provide expertise to site team to avoid/resolve quality problems.
• Provide early warning of potential quality problems and ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed.
• Verify that all testing procedures have been approved and are available on site.
• Confirm testing parameters are duly recorded, signed off and that testing equipment is calibrated.
• Attend and witness testing associated with mechanical equipment and systems.
• Typical tests include but are not limited to non-destructive examination of designated components, hydrostatic, pneumatic, mechanical QC activities as designated.
• Witness acceptance tests and final quality checks prior to acceptance as appropriate.
• Ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed out prior to acceptance of the work.
• Review QA/QC files for accuracy and adequacy.
