Group Product Manager – People & Culture & Travel & Expense (Houston or San Diego)

Location: Houston, Texas or San Diego, California.
Job Type: Full‑time.
Base Salary Range: $145,500 – $229,500 per year.
Job Summary: The Group Product Manager leads the People & Culture and Travel & Expense product portfolio, defining vision, roadmap, and prioritization for products such as Success Factors, EC payroll, Fieldglass, Concur, ADP, and HR Master. The role manages a team of Product Owners, oversees the full product lifecycle, and collaborates cross‑functionally to drive innovation and value creation.
Key Responsibilities- Defines and communicates the group’s roadmap and vision across all teams, setting objectives for a 6‑12 month horizon.
- Identifies key outcomes that meet stakeholder needs, ensures measurable value delivery, and owns quarterly planning and roadmaps for the group.
- Engages with clients and stakeholders to understand business needs and shapes products or services that deliver optimal value across the portfolio.
- Maintains a well‑defined set of features and initiatives, prioritizes backlog items, and structures initiatives into a transparent hierarchy.
- Owns end‑to‑end delivery and value realization across the product portfolio, guiding the prioritization of high‑impact initiatives and features.
- Validates that major initiatives meet end‑user requirements, communicates product value, facilitates continuous feedback loops, and provides performance feedback to Product Owners.
- Leads a cross‑functional team—including business analysts, developers, and external partners—providing strategic direction, motivation, and guidance while managing performance and talent development.
- Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5 % of duties).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (equivalent experience and training also acceptable).
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Typically requires 8 years of related experience.
- 7 + years of managing solution delivery and/or enterprise architecture.
- 8 + years of progressive experience in Project or Product Delivery, Product Management, IT, or Business Operations.
- 5 + years of demonstrated experience with Success Factors, EC payroll, Fieldglass, Concur, ADP, and HR Master.
- 3 + years of supervisory and/or lead experience.
- 3 + years’ experience working in the energy sector or with a utility.
- Experience in U.S. and Mexico regulatory environments is a plus.
- Stakeholder management: ability to create and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Adaptability and learning agility: ability to learn, adapt, and reprioritize work rapidly.
- Product management: strong communication, prioritization, and decision‑making aligned to business goals.
- Financial acumen: ability to report IT spend, understand Cap Ex and OpEx budgets.
- Automation and security concepts, Agile tools, and methodologies (e.g., Azure, Jira, SAFe, LeSS).
- Experience with large‑scale ERP migrations or cloud transformations.
- Standard certifications in SAP modules and products (e.g., FI, CO, PS, SD, PM, MM, WM, BPC, GRC, Concur, Ariba).
- Experience in SAP RISE.
- Strong project management skills (PMP or Agile certifications a plus).
