Schwab Advisor Services (AS) is the industry leader in providing custody, trading, technology, and practice management services to independent advisory firms. Schwab Advisor Services is building out a Wealth Services team to drive new digital product strategy for a broader set of wealth management tools. This could include capabilities supporting estate planning, tax management, and alternative investment integration among other things. The team may also support unique offerings for specific client segments as well, like ultra-high net worth. This Director role and their team will have high visibility across executive leadership.

This Director, Digital Offer Management role will pair with other business strategy and digital product development teams to conceive a future ecosystem combining traditional wealth management capabilities and custody services in a seamless way. Specifically, this role will be responsible for defining the digital components of the product, considering both proprietary solutions and third-party integrations to create the best experience for advisors.

The team will also look to align proposed features and development plans with Schwab business objectives, considering speed-to-market, long-term infrastructure needs, and advisor experience. The Director will help onboard and potentially hire additional team members responsible for individual projects. Team members will conduct market research, engage with potential external partners to assess their technology offerings, and develop product requirements in partnership with a broad set of business, technology, operational, and service stakeholders.

They be responsible for overall project management in developing the new products, including running regular executive and project team steering committee meetings for input and updates. While they will not manage direct engineering execution, they may work closely with other product teams or third-party partners in requirements handoff and execution oversite.

• Deeply understand Schwab Advisor Center’s current technology offerings and the new opportunities Schwab is pursuing in creating new digital offerings
• Keep up-to-date on RIA industry trends, key technology players, and advisor technology needs
• Develop and refine high-level concepts for new digital experiences product offerings aligned to achieving Schwab’s strategic objectives for the new offer
• Develop relationships with key business stakeholders; role model and support strong collaboration with various partners to ensure holistic product design and go-to-market planning to support the new features, including but not limited to marketing plans, operations support, and service model
• Stand up steering committee structure for team projects and develop team best practices for project management to ensure a strong pace of offer development progress
• Manage discovery efforts for the team to vet new ideas through formal and informal research with target customers
• Coach team members on collaboration and presentation skills

Required Experience &

Skills:

• RIA industry experience required
• 10+ years’ experience designing and/or building digital products or experiences
