Job Description:

Business Development Manager Huntsman is seeking a Business Development Manager supporting the Performance Products Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Sr. Marketing Manager.

Job Scope Lead the implementation and execution of commercial strategies for the Americas region, translating Performance Products’ global strategy into regional growth priorities, actionable plans, and measurable results, in these target markets:
Coatings & Adhesives Composites Gas Treating Agrochemicals In summary, as the Business Development Manager, you will:

Develop and present clear business cases for growth opportunities, including market attractiveness, customer needs, competitive positioning, financial impact, risks, and execution requirements.

Develop and manage strategic project plans with clear milestones, owners, deliverables, timelines, and decision points to support timely and effective execution.

Identify and develop new business opportunities that expand the HPP portfolio and strengthen the value proposition for targeted applications and customers.

Assess new capital investment opportunities in partnership with Manufacturing, Commercial, Marketing, and Technology teams, and recommend projects that support strategic growth priorities.

Provide market, business, and competitive intelligence, along with communication campaigns and product/application promotion plans, to align functional and regional teams around business development objectives.

Lead cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance and Technology teams to execute innovation projects, develop value propositions, and deliver business growth targets.

Engage customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to identify commercial and technical opportunities and build a pipeline aligned with business strategy.

Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry or a related technical disciplineA minimum of 8 years of experience in business development or marketing in the chemical industry

Demonstrated experience taking new business opportunities from concept to commercialization

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization

Skills and knowledge

Strong understanding of marketing principles, market segmentation, value proposition development, and commercial strategy execution.

Ability to identify and develop new applications across diverse industries and translate market needs into actionable growth opportunities.

Ability to manage complex projects effectively, including scope, timelines, stakeholders, risks, and deliverables.

Ability to remove obstacles, drive alignment, and maintain momentum toward agreed business targets.

Ability to develop and present compelling business cases supported by market, customer, technical, and financial analysis.

Ability to communicate and influence effectively with internal global teams, customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders.

Ability to self-manage and network effectively.

Preferred Qualifications An MBA or advanced degree

Experience with amines, epoxy curing agents, polyurethane or specialty intermediates

Direct experience in one or more target markets: coatings & adhesives, composites, gas treating or agrochemicals

Strong commercial and financial acumen

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Availability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time…
