The mission of CPLC's Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is to promote the health, well-being, and stability of refugees, unaccompanied alien children, and other eligible individuals and families, through culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based services. As a Youth Care Worker
, you will play a vital role in the daily care, supervision, and development of refugee and immigrant youth in a residential setting. You will:

• Provide direct supervision and support to youth throughout their daily routines
• Foster a nurturing, stable, and culturally responsive environment
• Guide positive behavior and emotional growth
• Ensure safety and well-being through structured activities and consistent supervision
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote healing and resilience
• Help youth build confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging

This role directly shapes a young person’s experience as they navigate transition, healing, and hope for a better future.

You are compassionate, patient, and committed to serving youth from diverse backgrounds with dignity and respect. You thrive in structured environments, value teamwork, and understand the importance of trauma-informed care. You are dependable, adaptable, and motivated by purpose-driven work that creates real change.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional coursework or training in child welfare, social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children or adolescents in a child welfare, residential, or behavioral health setting.
• Age Requirement:
  Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Driver’s License:
  Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that meets organizational insurance requirements.
• Must be able to pass all background checks successfully.
