Join a young, growing construction company where your estimating skills will directly support new business and project success. We are seeking a Commercial Concrete Estimator who can develop accurate, competitive bids and help strengthen our estimating processes as the company expands.
Responsibilities- Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Complete detailed quantity takeoffs for concrete, reinforcing steel, formwork, and related work.
- Prepare estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project costs.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes for pricing, scope coverage, and exclusions.
- Prepare clear proposals that document assumptions, inclusions, exclusions, and pricing.
- Experience estimating foundations, paving, flat work, slope paving, tilt walls, retaining walls, and base prep.
- Formal education required: a degree, diploma, or completed certificate program in construction management, civil engineering, construction technology, estimating, or a closely related field.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of commercial concrete construction methods, materials, labor requirements, and cost factors.
- Experience with Bluebeam or alternate system/software
