Job Overview:

The Instrument Tech Foreman (or General Foreman/Superintendent) is responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, and safety of multiple Instrument Fitter crews. This role manages the entire instrument fitting scope for a major project area, focusing on long-range planning, scheduling, and integrated craft performance.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the daily and weekly work plans for all assigned Instrument Fitter crews and Lead persons

• Collaborate with the Instrumentation & Controls Engineer and QC teams to ensure the tubing installation schedule is met and quality is maintained

• Manage and track the cost and budget of the instrument fitting scope, including labor hours, materials, and specialized tools

• Ensure all installations comply with the highest safety, quality, and regulatory standards, serving as the final authority on fabrication quality in the field

• Serve as the primary liaison between the instrument fitting craft and the overall construction management team

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

· Minimum 8+ years of industrial construction/maintenance industry experience

· NCCER Certification is required

· Must successfully pass applicable written and practical craft tests as part of the selection process

· Expert knowledge of all phases of industrial instrument fitting construction, including pre-commissioning and commissioning support

· Proven expertise in project planning, scheduling, and resource management for a large, specialized workforce

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related technical field

• Experience managing multi-craft teams in the final stages of process unit construction
