Role: Lead commercial construction preconstruction, guiding projects from conceptual pursuits through bid award and handoff.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates.
- Create bid strategies and support bid submissions through award and handoff.
- Review and identify scope gaps, risks, and assumptions; recommend mitigation actions.
- Coordinate subcontractor coverage and assist with sourcing and alignment of scopes.
- Analyze project performance to improve pricing accuracy and estimating effectiveness.
- Support public-sector supplier diversity requirements.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction estimating and preconstruction workflows.
- Proficiency in producing quantity takeoffs and cost estimates with accuracy and rigor.
- Excellent risk and scope review skills, including gap/assumption analysis.
- Ability to develop competitive bid strategies and evaluate cost drivers.
- Skilled at coordinating subcontractors and aligning scopes across stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset focused on continuous improvement of pricing and estimates.
- Willingness to travel as needed (up to 10%).
