We’re looking for a versatile Social Content Creator who can bring bold ideas to life through engaging visuals, video, and copy. You’ll play a key role in expressing our brand voice across social, paid, and owned channels — translating marketing strategy and briefs into creative execution that connects with our audience and drives performance.
This is a hands‑on, on‑camera creator role for someone who thrives on making content that performs — blending creative flair with data‑informed strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with the Social Media, Performance Marketing, and Product teams to deliver a consistent flow of high‑quality content that drives engagement, conversions, and brand growth across organic and paid channels.
This role reports directly to the Marketing Director and carries performance responsibility to Channel Manager(s).
Requirements for the role include being local to the Austin area (or willing to relocate), demonstrated experience in a similar role, and a passion for the Heart & Soil mission.
What You’ll Do- Create and edit high-quality content: Produce a wide range of assets including social posts, video scripts, static images, carousels, reels, and stories for both organic and paid campaigns.
- Be a recurring on‑camera brand voice: Appear regularly in short‑form video (IG, Tik Tok, You Tube Shorts) and stories — delivering both scripted and unscripted takes that are clear, authentic, and on‑brand.
- Self‑produce on camera: Confidently frame, light, and mic yourself; operate a teleprompter or talk track; and submit clean takes, captions, and thumbnails that meet creative specs.
- Ship at pace: Appear in daily stories and weekly reels as defined in the content calendar — maintaining our 45‑day lead‑time buffer while prioritizing hooks, CTAs, and retention.
- Iterate to performance: Review and respond to performance data (watch time, 3‑second hold, saves, shares, CTR); reshoot or recut content to meet targets in partnership with the Social and Performance Marketing teams.
- Own the creative process: Take social creative briefs from concept to final production — ensuring every piece of content is on‑brand, engaging, and optimized for performance.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally: Partner with marketing, design, product, and CX teams to ensure cohesive messaging and a unified brand experience across all touchpoints.
- Optimize for social performance: Tailor every asset for platform best practices (Instagram, Tik Tok, X, You Tube, Circle) — maximizing reach, retention, and engagement.
- Stay ahead of trends: Identify emerging content formats, creator styles, and platform features to keep our brand fresh and relevant.
- Contribute to content systems: Help maintain organized workflows, naming conventions, and creative asset management for easy iteration and reuse.
- Experience: 3+ years in content creation, digital marketing, or social media — ideally in a fast‑paced DTC or lifestyle brand environment.
- On‑camera presence & delivery: Confident, concise, and natural on‑camera delivery with strong diction and comfort in one‑take or live‑to‑camera settings.
- Proven portfolio: A body of work showcasing creative range and measurable performance results — including reels, stories, or shorts demonstrating retention, saves, shares, or conversions.
- Technical fluency in self‑recording: Skilled in vertical framing, lighting setup (key/fill), lav or shotgun audio, and basic color/sound passes (Cap Cut/Canva or equivalent).
- Creative versatility: Comfort producing content across multiple formats (video, photo, copy) and adapting tone and style for different audiences.
- Technical proficiency: Skilled in Canva, Asana, Notion, Cap Cut, Instagram, Tik Tok, X, and familiar with Circle’s community platforms.
- Adaptability: Ability to juggle multiple projects, pivot quickly, and meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
