* We are seeking a
* licensed Dentist
* to provide high-quality dental care to individuals residing at the Mexia State Supported Living Center. This is a contract opportunity offering a consistent schedule and meaningful work serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

* Position Overview
* The Dentist will provide comprehensive dental services under the supervision of the Dental Director, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care. The role includes advanced dental treatment, accurate documentation, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary care team.

* Key Responsibilities
* * Provide dental care to individuals residing at the Supported Living Center and select community-based individuals

* Perform advanced dental procedures and promote oral health best practices

* Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records and clinical documentation

* Develop written treatment plans with justification for irreversible procedures

* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team

* Follow all facility, HHSC, and CMS standards and procedures

* Comply with all infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements

* Requirements
* * Active, unrestricted
* Texas Dentist License
* * Current
* DEA Registration
* * Active
* NPI number
* * Ability to pass
* HHSC-required drug screening and fingerprinting
* * Completion of all required HHSC and facility training

* Compliance with HHSC immunization requirements

* Current
* BLS (CPR) certification
* through the American Heart Association

* Experience with electronic health records and digital dentistry preferred

* Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

* * 4 days per week / 10-hour shifts

* * No after-hours call required
