Job Purpose

As the Lead of Interior Design, you must have deep knowledge and passion for leading a team of interior designers who create compelling design proposals at an exceptional standard. You will work closely with exterior design studio engineering teams to ensure design intentions and product specifications are held at the highest regard. Your primary purpose is to lead the Interior Design team on all projects, ranging from concept creation and ideation all the way through to delivering production-ready design solutions.

While managing a team of designers, this position also includes creating interior visions and ‘artwork’ for concept presentations to executives and potential customers. Excellent communication skills are needed to interact with a fast-paced and multi-talented team. The ideal candidate is highly productive and has a team-centered spirit and a positive attitude.

This position is full-time in-office. Candidates must reside within Dallas TX or have a reasonable driving commute to Justin, TX and/or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities (80s Of The Position)

• Lead a team of interior/industrial designers
• Develop proposals for both production and concept vehicles using your 2d sketching, 3D modeling, and 3D rendering abilities
• Interact collaboratively across many different departments and functions.
• Perform benchmarking of competitive vehicles/products.
• Research product/industrial design, material, and future mobility trends.
• Present strategies, vision, and innovation to executives
• Work closely with studio engineering to bring your designs into production.
• Support CAS and clay 3D modelers with clear and representative drawings/renderings to develop your…
