X-Bow is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Architect to join our team, specializing in the design and construction oversight of manufacturing facilities. This pivotal role requires a licensed architect with a strong background in industrial architecture, who will ensure the highest quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. You will lead concept development, review designs, and conduct rigorous site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Design Review and Quality Assurance:
Critically review and evaluate building designs submitted by general contractors and their subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project requirements, building codes, and quality standards. - Construction Oversight and Punch Walks:
Conduct regular site visits and detailed "punch walks" (punch lists) of buildings under construction to verify that work is being executed according to the approved design documents and quality expectations. - Concept Development Leadership:
Lead the conceptual development phase of building systems, ensuring innovative, efficient, and sustainable design solutions for manufacturing environments. - Code Compliance:
Utilize your expertise to ensure all project designs and construction activities comply with relevant local, state, and federal building codes and regulations. - Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with internal teams, general contractors, subcontractors, and clients to resolve design issues, provide clarity on specifications, and maintain project momentum. - Technical Documentation:
Oversee the preparation and sealing of architectural drawings and specifications as required.
- Architectural Registration:
Must be a registered, licensed Architect with a valid professional stamp (AIA certification is a plus). - Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of professional architectural experience, with a significant portion specifically involving the design and construction of manufacturing and/or industrial buildings. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in relevant architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up) and strong knowledge of building systems, materials, and construction techniques specific to industrial facilities. - Project Management:
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. - Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse stakeholders. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to conduct site visits and navigate construction sites safely.
