Research Specialist ; Shell-Outreach

Position: Research Specialist I (Shell-Outreach)
Location: Prairie View

* Monitor and report the planting, soil amendment/interventions under the guidance of the project lead and Co-leads.
* Monitor field equipment and sensors.
* Prepare weekly report and update PI/Co-PIs.
* Prepare datasets and presentations to share with other investigators or collaborators.
* Assist undergraduate and graduate students.
* Assist faculty with field demonstrations for students and/or stakeholders, including farmers.
* Other duties as assigned.
* Bachelor's degree
* Four years of related experience.
* Knowledge about cropping system and soil amendments
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Considerable experience in outreach activities, field work, laboratory analytical techniques, and project implementations.
* Strong interest in working with multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to effectively communicate with faculty, educators, and staff.
* Ability to organize tasks and prioritize work with minimal supervision.
* Knowledge of field experiments
* Experience and/or skills for outreach activities
* Ability to lift moderately heavy objects.
* Ability to exert heavy force.
* Work beyond normal business hours and/or work on weekends.
