A substitute teacher is responsible for ensuring that each child's education proceeds smoothly and completely in the absence of their regular teacher. This includes carrying out lesson plans and fulfilling teaching duties as outlined by school and Archdiocese policies.

• Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
• Model Gospel values and adhere to religious standards and policies.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding school matters.
• Provide instructional reinforcement and supervise students in various settings.
• Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs.
• Follow safety protocols and promote a safe environment.
• Collaborate with staff to support academic programming.
• Adhere to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by teachers and administration.

• High school diploma or equivalent;
  Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of substituting or teaching experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
• Ability to attend to students' diverse needs and work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

This is a temporary, non-exempt/hourly position reporting to the Principal. The role requires a commitment to the values of Catholic education and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
