Overview
Instructors (Non-Regular, On-call) – Industry Training role at Coast Mountain College (CMTN). This position is non-regular, on-call, and may require evening/weekend work and travel. Appointments will commence as soon as possible and end August 31, 2026, on an on-call basis, as required. Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Instructor scale.

DutiesFacilitate learning for adult students in workforce training safety-related courses. Responsibilities include course preparation, delivering instruction, guiding students, providing feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction to help students achieve related industry certificates. Courses may include:
- Aerial Lift/Scissor Lift
- Airbrakes Endorsement
- Chainsaw Safety
- Confined Space Awareness
- Fall Protection
- Forklift Operation Certification
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods

QualificationsMinimum qualifications include current industry certification(s) for the course(s) listed above, along with strong technical knowledge and relevant industry work experience. Additional instructor certificate training in these courses may be provided by CMTN, but successful completion will be required prior to the commencement of teaching appointments. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and/or a Provincial Instructor Diploma.

- Adaptable with the ability to work effectively within a variety of diverse situations
