- Have a working Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Excellent organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to oversee assigned student activities and services
- Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
- Ability to manage student behavior
- Experience in Educational Leadership preferred
- Master's Degree in Educational Administration
- Texas Principal Certification or other appropriate Texas Certificate
- Certified T-TESS Appraiser
Skills:
- Thorough understanding of school operations
- Ability to coordinate campus functions
- Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction, including STAAR
- Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data
- Working knowledge of the use of technology for administrative productivity and classroom instruction

- Groveton ISD will have a 4-day calendar (M-Th) for the majority of the 26-27 school year
