Qualities We Seek

We are looking for individuals who are self‑motivated, well‑networked within the communities, and eager to make a positive impact. As a Local Coordinator (LC), you play a vital role in expanding our program’s reach and ensuring a positive experience for all participants.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Identify, recruit and screen qualified host families.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with potential host families, school administrators, and community influencers.
  • Engage in person with exchange students, host families, and local high schools through monthly meetings, group student activities, and periodic orientations.
  • Represent and promote ETC in your community through social media, email marketing, press releases, local media, and other avenues.
Benefits
  • Independent contractor position with family‑friendly, flexible hours (10–20 hours per month). Work can be done from home.
  • Annual performance‑based incentive trips including international travel opportunities.
  • Potential for growth into a management position.
  • Opportunity to mentor and support exchange students and volunteer families throughout the year.
  • Learn about a new culture while working alongside high‑school exchange students and their host families.
Compensation

Up to $1,700 per full‑year student (including student placement and oversight) plus bonuses and travel incentives. As an independent contractor, your earnings can grow with recruitment and student support success.

Travel Requirement
  • Live within 75 miles of the listed city.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive for in‑person visits.
Additional Opportunity

If the local coordinator role is not the right fit for you at this time, consider hosting an exchange student. For more information, please email support.
