Position SummaryPrimary duties of full‑time faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses, as well as recruiting, advising, and mentoring students in and outside of the classroom. The faculty member creates and maintains an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned, be they face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, or within the context of dual credit instruction.
Full‑time faculty members are also responsible for participation in professional development activities, serving on college committees, developing and updating curriculum, textbook, equipment selection and instructional materials. Faculty members are expected to maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures. This faculty member will serve in the role of Remediation Specialist and will provide remediation and tutoring to students at both the WC Main campus and Wise County campus.
- All faculty members must meet Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) academic, oral and written English proficiency requirements.
- All full‑time faculty members must demonstrate a willingness and ability to teach day, evening and/or weekend classes in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and dual credit environments.
- Minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) credential standards, normally including a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline.
- Minimum Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Minimum five years of work experience in an RN position with clinical experience.
- Candidate must be bilingual/proficient in Spanish.
- Nursing education instruction experience in addition to RN clinical experience preferred.

Each full‑time faculty member must demonstrate the ability to develop curriculum and instruct in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and dual credit courses; ability to provide instruction that will achieve the specific goals and objectives associated with all assigned courses; ability to create a professional and effective learning environment in the classroom and/or laboratory; ability to communicate effectively with students, college personnel and administration, peers and public groups;

- Current Texas RN licensure.

Submit proof of Texas Board of Nursing licensure along with transcripts. This position is designated as a security sensitive position and requires a satisfactory criminal history background check.
