Requirements:

Three (3) professional references (no friends or family)

High School diploma / GED OR

Proof of Teacher certification (out of state or Texas certified), if applicable

All subs must work a minimum of 12 days per school year to stay active (6 days per semester).

Compensation Plan

• Degreed & Non Degreed - $100/day or $50/half day
• Certified Teachers - $110/day or $65/half day
• All Special Needs Teachers and Aides - $130/day or $65/half day
• All Guest Teachers are eligible to elect benefits once worked an average of 10 hours a week over first 90 days serving in a Substitute capacity.
• Guest Teacher pay will reflect FICA and income tax with holdings based on the W-4.

- Once processed you will receive a welcome email wtih more details.
- You will receive an email to have your fingerprints taken by TEA. This eamil will come after the welcome email should you not have prints on file with TEA. This will come from Identogo, not Aledo ISD.
- You will attend one of our orientations, an invite to the next one will be sent to you to RSVP.
- When we have receirved clear fingerprint results, and you have attended orientation, verbal references will be obtained.
- When digital and verbal references have been received we will send your application for approval to hire as a substitute.
- If approved you will receive paperwork to complete online and then come in to the office to sign final documents and pick up your iIDbadge.
