The Graduate Assistant will provide academic and administrative support to assist with maintaining accurate academic information, supporting the Office of the Provost.
Responsibilities- Monitor/review documents on HB 2504 webpage
- Review academic webpages for catalog information accuracy
- Assist with textbook order follow-up
- Assist with policy review, and OER projects.
- Assist with answering and directing telephone calls, filing, and performing other clerical support tasks as delegated
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an relevant field.
- Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at Prairie View A&M University. (Minimum of 9 credit hours during the regular fall and spring semesters and 6 semester credit hours for the summer semester).
- Must be in good academic standing.
Education and Experience
- Degree-seeking student in a graduate program at PVAMU (e.g., Sociology; Management; Education Leadership; Counseling; Psychology, Human Sciences, Communications; etc.)
- Must be enrolled in 9 graduate credits each semester of assistantship
- Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0

- Demonstrated evidence of excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal; organizational, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and to conduct oneself in a highly professional and ethical manner
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in all tasks
- Familiarity with academic integrity principles, compliance standards, and higher education governance structures, a plus;
- Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional
