Qualifications:

• Active Orientation and Mobility Specialist License
• Current Texas Certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with students, staff, and families
• Ability to work independently and manage a limited weekly caseload effectively
• Professional experience in schools or similar settings is highly desirable

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored orientation and mobility instruction to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed
• Collaborate with other educational professionals to support each student’s goals
• Provide recommendations and resources to staff and families to reinforce best practices outside of sessions
• Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal regulations and policies
