*** The Department of Performing Arts at Prairie View A&M University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions in Theatre. We seek skilled and experienced educators and theatre professionals who are collaborative, team-oriented, and committed to excellence in undergraduate education, artistic development, and ensemble production.  
** Responsibilities:*
* * Teach undergraduate Theatre courses, which may include Introduction to Acting, Theatre Practicum, Stage Movement, and other courses according to departmental needs and the candidate’s qualifications.
* Support rehearsals, performances, and productions of the Charles Gilpin Players and other departmental theatrical activities.
* Collaborate with Theatre and Performing Arts faculty in support of productions, curricular initiatives, and student success.
* Keep records, post grades (mid-term & final), submit attendance.
* Mentor and support students in developing their artistic, performance, and professional skills.
* Post and maintain regular office hours.
* Performs other duties assigned by department head.

Education & Experience:

* * Master’s degree in Theater or related field.
* One to two years experience in applicable field.  
** Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
* * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
*
* Preferred Qualifications:

*
* * Previous teaching experience at the collegiate or advanced pre-professional level.
* Professional experience in acting, directing, movement, production, or related areas of theatre.
* Experience working with theatrical productions and student ensembles.
* Ability to teach in multiple areas of the Theatre curriculum.
* Experience mentoring and developing undergraduate performers.
