Thorndale ISD is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and student-centered teacher to join our team. The teacher will provide engaging instruction, maintain a positive classroom environment, and support the academic, social, and emotional growth of students.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong instructional skills, effective classroom management, professionalism, and a commitment to student success.

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and instructional activities.
• Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of students.
• Monitor student progress and use assessment data to guide instruction.
• Maintain accurate records of student grades, attendance, and academic progress.
• Provide appropriate interventions and support for students who need additional assistance.
• Collaborate with campus staff, administrators, parents, and other professionals to support student success.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, committees, and other campus activities.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and records.
• Follow district policies, campus procedures, and all applicable state and federal laws.
• Support and implement student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as appropriate.
• Participate in campus and district initiatives designed to improve student achievement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or appropriate administrator.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate or appropriate certification eligibility.
• Knowledge of TEKS and effective instructional practices.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to building positive relationships with students.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
• Successful completion of required background checks and fingerprinting.

• Previous teaching experience.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Knowledge of current instructional strategies, technology, and assessment practices.
• Experience with differentiated instruction and student interventions.

• Work is performed primarily in a classroom or school setting.
• May require standing, walking, bending, stooping, and occasional lifting.
• Ability to manage a classroom environment and respond appropriately to student needs.
• Regular interaction with students, staff, parents, and administrators.

Full-time position following the Thorndale ISD school calendar and assigned campus schedule.

Salary will be based on the Thorndale ISD adopted salary schedule and applicable experience
