Must be able to assume responsibility for operation of the equipment included in a central controlled turbo-generator-boiler system with its associated fuel handling facilities, auxiliaries and function during a specific place in-shift, and be qualified to do the following related work as assigned: service, or remove from service and operate turbo generator and boiler systems. Check function of governors and controls, and related auxiliary equipment perform simple operations in connection with general test work on boilers.
Check bearing temperatures and turbines, pumps and other related equipment for proper operation using some precision hand, bench and power tools. Under close and/or directive supervision, with limited latitude for planning or laying out of working details, must be able to perform simple mechanical work involved in the inspection, repair, installation, test, adjustment and calibration of meters and instruments, and of automatic combustion control equipment and regulating devices in generating stations, must be able to perform simple electrical work involved in the inspection, repair or installation of electrical equipment in generating stations and electrical substations and related equipment in shop or in place, must be able to perform simple mechanical work involved in the inspection repair and installation of mechanical equipment.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Associates Degree in Process Operations Technology or Instrumentation preferred
Must be familiar with elementary principles of mechanical measuring, devices, instruments, controls, and regulating devices as used in generating. Must be familiar with principles of operation, function, and construction of plants. Steam boilers, turbo-generators, pumps, heaters, steam traps, piping systems, pressure and level regulators and their controls and auxiliary systems.

Working Conditions and Additional ResponsibilitiesAs a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company.
