SummaryThe Field Service Technician III will assist senior Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities. This work includes preventative and corrective maintenance of on‑site assets such as solar panels, trackers, and power inverters.
Requirements- Takes direction from senior site personnel.
- Sets positive example for and mentors junior technicians.
- Troubleshoots low voltage DC power systems.
- Troubleshoots low voltage, medium voltage, and high voltage AC power systems.
- Conducts preventative maintenance on AC and DC power systems.
- Identifies faulty or underperforming equipment.
- Uses hand tools effectively.
- Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Manages site inventory.
- Assists in development of site operating plans.
- Follows site safety plan and safe work practices.
- Adheres to proper Lock‑out‑Tag‑out (LOTO) practices and procedures.
- Interfaces with project stakeholders (owners, equipment manufacturers, etc.).
- Interfaces with project subcontractors.
- Represents RES in a professional manner to project stakeholders.
- Responds to a physical location within 1.5 hours for emergency calls identified as a priority by the Operations Control Center.
- Operates RES company vehicles, including trucks, in accordance with state and federal laws and RES policies.
- Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
- Complies with the Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.
- Participates in a rotating on‑call schedule for emergency response.
- Sets, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality‑oriented attitude.
- Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.
- Ensures that safety is the most important function, follows safe practices while working.
- Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates at risk behaviors.
- Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
- Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) occurs before scopes of work commence.
- Adheres to and understands standard operating procedures.
- Receives job and task specific training prior to work commencing.
- High school/GED General Education required.
- Associate degree Related Technical Degree preferred.
- Certification OSHA 10/30 preferred.
- Certification FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot preferred.
- 4+ years or more Related electrical maintenance experience required.
- 2+ years or more Medium voltage electrical work experience required.
- 1 year or more High voltage electrical work experience preferred.
- Intermediate

- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

- OSHA regulations
- Equipment operation (skid‑steer, forklift, etc.)

- Electrical tools (multimeter, IR camera)
- ANSI/NETA/MTS
- SCADA systems
- Hand tools
- Ability to reside within a maximum commuting distance of 60 miles from the work site.

- Valid Driver’s License required.
Anticipated base salary range: $32.85‑41.06 per hour.
