Associate Technician – Wind Turbine Maintenance
Deutsche Windtechnik, Germany’s largest independent service provider, is looking for an Associate Technician to support the operation and maintenance of wind turbines. The role includes mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems troubleshooting, preventive and unscheduled maintenance, and execution of site operations according to company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Support mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems troubleshooting and repairs at wind turbine sites.
- Generate required reports and paperwork.
- Recognize and report wind turbine error codes.
- Assist in all areas of site operations.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on turbines.
- Conduct unscheduled maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
- Demonstrate ability to learn advanced troubleshooting and repairs.
- Maintain safety using Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and system safety.
- High School Diploma or GED; an associate degree is a bonus.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Physical fitness to lift or move up to 100 pounds, climb 300‑ft towers multiple times a day wearing 25+ lbs gear, and use a personal fall arrest system.
- Must pass a physical exam, drug/alcohol screening, and meet vision requirements.
- Capability to rescue teammates in tower emergencies.
