As our Senior Automation Engineer, you'll lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced automation systems that power our manufacturing excellence. From concept to commissioning, you'll bring cutting‑edge technology to life, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across every process.
What You'll DoYou will be the subject matter expert for automation, guiding projects from idea to implementation. Your day‑to‑day will include:
- Designing and procuring automation equipment, partnering with vendors to meet manufacturing requirements
- Leading automation initiatives that improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency
- Programming and troubleshooting advanced machine controls, PLCs, robots, and electronic systems
- Developing and updating company equipment standards and automation best practices
- Driving change management to ensure successful adoption of automation technologies
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Safety, Compliance, Operations, Maintenance, Product Management, and Supply Chain
- Leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies for data collection, MES integration, and IoT connectivity
- Mentoring junior engineers and leading technical discussions to build organizational capability
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Automation Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in automation design, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Expertise in industrial controls, robotics, motion control, and vision systems
- Hands‑on programming experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs and HMI/SCADA platforms (Factory Talk View, WinCC, Ignition, Wonderware)
- Familiarity with Six Sigma DMAIC and structured problem‑solving
- Experience with AGV/AMR systems, servo systems, and conveyance automation
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0, MES interfaces, and IoT integration
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead projects and mentor teams
