Position Summary
This full-time Civil Engineer - Hydrology & Hydraulics (EIT) role supports water resource and stormwater engineering projects, with a focus on hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) design, modeling, and technical documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers to gain hands-on experience, work closely with senior engineers, and build a strong foundation for future licensure and project leadership.
MainDuties & Responsibilities
Assist in hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) calculations for flood studies, reclamation studies, detention design, and erosion control projects.
Utilize ArcGIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop design plans, grading plans, and related project deliverables.
Prepare technical documents and reports to support project planning and execution.
Attend client meetings and progress updates to develop strong communication and client management skills.
Support project managers in ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
Proficiency in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for stormwater modeling and calculations.
Excellent communication skills, including technical writing and verbal collaboration in team and client settings.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in Texas or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
Familiarity with stormwater engineering methods such as the Rational Method, Modified Rational Method, Unit Hydrograph Methods, Manning’s Equation, and HGL calculations.
Experience with FEMA LOMRs or stormwater master planning is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Based in Wylie, Texas.
This is an in-office position to allow for mentorship, collaboration, and rapid skill development.
Base Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 annually.
