** Johnson Controls**, in partnership with Transport for NSW, is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone. Our responsibilities encompass routine maintenance, strategic enhancements, and specialised projects aimed at bolstering Sydney's transport infrastructure.

We’re seeking a talented Project Engineer – Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) to join our team. This position offers a fully maintained tool-of-trade vehicle for business use, along with the opportunity to work on innovative transport projects. While the role is primarily office-based, you’ll occasionally support field activities, including a few night shifts each month.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Achieving the delivery of ITS upgrade projects through to completion and submission of all deliverables on time, to budget and to quality standards as agreed with project manager.
* Preparing, updating and implementing the portfolio list of project works.
* Supporting with the management all contractors and staff who deliver projects.
* Preparing the list of deliverables / tasks from each project and transferring to the baseline design schedule.
* Development of the delivery phase and interface activities.
* Interfacing with internal and external design team for the design requirements.
* Liaising with client, site and vendors on aspects of the delivery phase and documentation work and organise meetings with them as required.
* Interfacing with cross discipline and external information and documents flow.
* Diagnosing design related issues and resolving through documentation or escalation to senior management.
* Monitoring and addressing design changes and non-conformance.

* About You:

*** Engineering Degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical.
* Demonstrated experience (ideally 5+ years) and knowledge in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering.
* Demonstrated experience in project management with an understanding of planned scheduling functions.
* Experience in delivering ITS, electrical or civil projects is highly desirable.
* Problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues.
