Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Control system design for industrial refrigeration systems to customer or internal specifications.
• Create electrical and control design documents (electrical layouts, wiring diagrams, system architecture, BOM, etc.) from P&.
• Review electrical drawings for correctness.
• Produce FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) documents.
• Write new and modify existing PLC software and HMI software.
• Coordinate with customers to integrate PLC software with customer DCS/SCADA.
• Provide customer support on existing installations.
• Commissioning and startup support at customer sites as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency with Allen Bradley programming software (Studio
  5000 PLC programming, Factory Talk HMI programming).
• Proficiency with Code Sys, Siemens TIA Portal, Ignition, optional.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Knowledge of Modbus and Ethernet/IP communication protocols.
• Knowledge of basic IP network configuration.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Proactive, positive, professional, team-minded, and self-motivating.
• Must be able to travel up to 30% annually.

• BSEE, or Equivalent technical degree w/experience, in related STEM discipline required.
• Experience in controls engineering in the industrial refrigeration market is desired.
• Experience with modern revision control systems (git, Copia, etc) desired.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
