Position Overview
Olson Engineering is seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly technical Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of experience with preferably a Texas Professional Engineers license or currently has an Engineer in Training certification. Candidates should have a working knowledge of concrete and steel design related to the petrochemical industry and be familiar with Staad.
Pro, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform in a team environment.
- Frequently take field visits to plant or refinery-type facilities.
- Perform calculations independently.
- Provide for/Coordinate all Civil/Structural project needs.
- Understand Industry best practices and engineering requirements.
- Apply Civil/Structural specifications including but not limited to:
- AISC – Specification for Steel Buildings
- ASCE 7
- AISC 318
Education/Knowledge
- A Civil/Structural Engineering degree from any four-year accredited university is required.
- Applicants should be familiar with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures used in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Good written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Working knowledge of Staad.
Pro, Math Cad, Microsoft Office.
