You will be an experienced and driven Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the mechanical systems installation and commissioning for a high‑performance AI Data Center. In this role, you will lead mechanical contractors, ensure proper execution of HVAC and liquid cooling systems, and contribute to the delivery of a mission‑critical facility built for next‑generation AI workloads. This is a hands‑on leadership position ideal for someone with 3–5 years of experience in mechanical construction or facility operations within data centers, industrial sites, hospitals, or other high‑availability environments.
What You’ll Do:Construction Oversight
- Supervise the on‑site installation of all mechanical systems, including:
- HVAC and chilled water systems
- CRAC/CRAH units
- Air‑cooled and water‑cooled chillers
- Liquid cooling loops for high‑density compute
- Pumps, valves, piping, and associated infrastructure
- Ensure all systems are installed in accordance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and industry standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.).
- Track and report daily progress, identify installation issues early, and coordinate resolution with contractors and engineering teams.
- Willingness to work a rotating schedule up to 12‑hour shifts, including nights/weekends or on‑call shifts as needed.
- Assist in functional testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Participate in Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and ensure mechanical readiness for AI server deployment.
- Verify system performance under various load conditions to meet AI data center operational thresholds.
- Enforce site safety standards and ensure contractor compliance with OSHA, company safety protocols, and permit systems.
- Conduct mechanical quality checks and inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet specifications.
- Manage redlines, punch lists, and close‑out documentation for mechanical scope.
- Coordinate work with general contractors, HVAC specialists, and other trades (electrical, IT, fire protection) to resolve spatial conflicts and ensure schedule alignment.
- Oversee delivery and staging of mechanical equipment and materials.
- Support procurement tracking and installation verification.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field preferred).
