Join the Ohio Department of Transportation’s District 7 (Shelby County, Sidney) in the in‑house Roadway Design Office as a Transportation Engineer 3. You will report to the District Roadway Design Engineer and support a range of roadway projects.
What You Will Do• Engineer review and design tasks, preparing detailed CADD plans for roadway projects such as pavement maintenance, roadway improvements, geometric corrections, and culvert linings or replacements.
• Provide direction to junior designers and interns.
• Registered Professional Engineer licensed by the Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors.
• 12 months of experience as a group or project leader providing work direction and training to engineering technicians or lower‑level engineers, or 12 months of experience conducting engineering‑related research (assistant specialist roles).
• Valid driver’s license if required to operate a state vehicle and travel to inspect project sites.
• Position designated Career Professional per Section 5501.20.

$39.22 – $55.99 per hour
