GENERAL DESCRIPTIONUnder the direction of the Office Manager/Team Leader, this position performs entry‑level to routine customer service work. Responsibilities include daily operations of revenue collection and accounting, automated registration and reservation of visitors, answering telephones, preparing correspondence and reports, performing general cleaning of park headquarters and park store, and performing additional duties as assigned. The position may fluctuate between full‑time and part‑time hours based on operational needs.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
Education – High School diploma or GED.
Experience – No experience required.
Licensure – Must possess a valid State driver’s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience – One year of experience in general clerical, cash handling or customer service.
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of general office procedures, administrative and clerical procedures, basic math calculations, accounting and revenue collection.
Skill in using MS Word, Excel and Outlook; effective verbal and written communication; standard office equipment; basic report writing; quality customer service; establishing effective work relationships; accurately handling cash; handling multiple tasks; general routine office cleaning; working independently with little supervision; team member; preparing and maintaining detailed records, files and reports; responding to public inquiries; conducting work activities in accordance with TPWD safety program.
WORKINGCONDITIONS
Required to work 10–40 hours per week, including various schedules; adjust to changing schedules; conform to TPWD dress and grooming standards; work rules and safety procedures; position fluctuates between part‑time and full‑time; may be required to operate a State vehicle; travel 5% with possible overnight stays; non‑smoking environment.
