Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a well‑established, mission‑driven information services firm who is seeking a Senior Finance Consultant to join their team on a consulting basis. This organization operates at scale and is entering a period of meaningful transformation, including organizational realignment, and several high‑impact financial initiatives. To support this evolving environment, the company is seeking a seasoned finance professional who can provide continuity, insight, and hands‑on support across a sophisticated FP&A function.
This role is well‑suited for a consultant who brings strong judgment, a broad enterprise perspective, and the ability to quickly assimilate into a complex, matrixed organization.
Title: Senior Finance Consultant (FP&A)
Location: On‑Site:
Crystal City, VA – 5 days a week for an initial period with potential flexibility to 1 day remote/week once well established
Job Type: Contract (9-12 months)
Hourly Rate: Market Rate (target 90-120/hr)
Responsibilities- Provide senior‑level FP&A support across corporate, shared services, and operating groups
- Partner cross‑functionally with finance leaders and business stakeholders to support planning, forecasting, and analysis
- Quickly gain an understanding of organizational structure, business drivers, and financial workflows
- Analyze large, multidimensional data sets and translate results into clear, compelling insights
- Develop and present financial analyses, trends, and story‑based reporting for leadership consumption
- Offer stability and thought partnership during periods of organizational change and restructuring
- Contribute in a hands‑on, collaborative manner within a high‑expectations, results‑driven culture
- Senior‑level finance professional with deep FP&A experience in mid‑to‑large organizations
- Proven ability to step into new environments quickly and add value with minimal ramp‑up
- Strong understanding of enterprise financial systems and tools, with the ability to think conceptually about how systems work (not just how they are currently configured)
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large, complex datasets
- Experience synthesizing financial information for executive‑level audiences
- A collaborative, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves mindset and genuine curiosity about how the business operates
- Financial systems enablement or optimization
- Power BI or broader financial data management experience (dashboarding, financial data engineering, data governance)
- Engineering or technology cost management, including cloud spend / Fin Ops exposure
- Software portfolio or R&D financial management
- Sales business partner experience (sales operations, sales compensation, or revenue support)
- SaaS or subscription‑based business exposure
