This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and one year experience working in a general office environment. Some college, experience working in a construction related field and municipal government experience in permits or planning is desired. Bilingual is preferred. Must demonstrate excellent customer service and organizational skills and have regular, reliable attendance and ability to maintain confidentiality. Possession of an appropriate, valid Texas driver's license.

ICC Permit Technician certification or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.

Starting range is $38,139.00 - $47,674.00, depending on qualifications. Hours are flexible and may include weekends. Additional benefits include: TMRS - 7% match 2 to 1;
Medical, dental, life insurance and long-term disability at no cost to employee; in addition, the city provides optional benefits such as: dental, 457 deferred compensation, flexible spending; and provides vacation and sick leave, and 10 paid holidays.
