TTUHSC Managed Care is looking for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team as we prepare to reopen the Dalby Unit in Post, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to provide meaningful care to an underserved population, support patient dignity, and make a difference where it matters most.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed patient interviews and gather comprehensive medical histories.
- Perform physical examinations and compile patient medical data.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays, EKGs, and lab work to assess and diagnose conditions.
- Perform hands‑on procedures such as injections and immunizations, wound care and suturing, infection identification and management.
- Develop, implement, and adjust patient care plans.
- Maintain detailed progress notes and support continuity of care across services.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, chronic condition management, and wellness strategies.
- Provide guidance and counseling around health behavior, lifestyle adjustments, and emotional challenges related to incarceration and daily living.
- Deliver emergency medical services independently when needed, including urgent diagnosis and treatment, pending physician arrival.
