• Administer medications and document as ordered in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Observe, identify, and report changes in patient responses to assist with care planning and outcomes.
• Prepare and operate equipment and instruments for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Assist with or perform examinations and procedures; document all interventions in EMR.
• Maintain working knowledge of current clinical issues and treatment modalities.
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures related to medication administration.
• Report unusual patient occurrences (reactions, behaviors, refusals) to the Registered Nurse.
• Perform support activities: ensuring drug room security; stocking and maintaining medications and pharmaceutical equipment; replacing facility medications and returning outdated medications to the pharmacy; maintaining accurate log books.
• Generate print passes as required.
