- Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1260 - $1350 per week
- Location: Decatur, Texas 76234 (North Texas healthcare jobs)
- Facility: Main Campus, 4th & 5th Floor Med/Surg Units
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel RN
- Weekend Shifts: Required
- Active RN license (Texas or compact state)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - Strong time management and teamwork skills
- Ability to float to Inpatient Rehab, Emergency Department (ED), and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed
- Deliver high-quality patient care to Med/Surg patients on designated units
- Monitor patients using remote telemetry, capnography, Alaris IV pumps, glucometers, and dynamaps
- Document assessments and care in Alterra (Allscripts) EMR system
- Assist with procedures including abdominal surgeries (cholecystectomy, appendectomy, colectomy), diagnostic procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, heart catheterizations, run offs, gastric sleeves, joint replacements, and orthopedic trauma repairs
- Initiate IVs and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team: RNs, LVNs, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and charge nurses
- Maintain a positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude
- Comply with unit policies, dress code (Medical City Blue scrubs), and attendance requirements
