The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading healthcare organization in Breckenridge,TX and we are looking to hire a skilled and experienced Physical Therapist fortheir Physical Therapy Department,
Reporting to the. Physical Therapy Director, The Physical Therapist will develop and implement treatment plans, perform routine therapy functions, document patient progress,and adjusts treatments based on patient status within the scope of practice.
- Schedule:
- Full-Time: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Part-Time opportunities available
- Settings:
- Inpatient, Swing bed, Outpatient, Cardio and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings available
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and direct the administration of physical agents, rehabilitation, and therapeutic treatments under physician direction
- Review patient diagnoses, evaluate conditions, develop treatment plans, perform discharge planning, and complete re-evaluations
- Educate and prepare patients for treatments & monitor patients throughout treatments
- Apply appropriate physical agents, therapeutic, ambulatory and mobility procedures while explaining treatment processes to patients
- Document treatments and provide updates to physicians
- Provide age-appropriate care for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients based on knowledge of growth and development principles
- Assessand interpret patient status data to identify age-specific needs and provide care according to departmental policies
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program meeting licensure requirements (DPT)
- Current Texas Physical Therapist license required
- 3+ years of licensed Physical Therapist experience preferred
- Relevant experience preferred; candidates with varying experience levels are welcome
- Current CPR certification required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to promote positive relationships withstaff, patients, and visitors
- Dependable and punctual work habits
- Abilityto sit, stand, and walk intermittently, with occasional physical exertion during treatments
- Abilityto frequently bend, stoop, and reach
- Abilityto push and pull up to 300 lbs and carry up to 50 lbs when treating,transferring, or supporting patients
Candidates must successfully pass a standard background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
