The City of Richland Hills, Texas (pop. 8,000) is seeking an Intern position that will provide an opportunity to explore a career field in event/hospitality within the field of Parks and Recreation. This position will be involved in a variety of customer service, set up, cleanup and break down of banquets, weddings, meetings and business events at The Link Recreation and Event Center.

This position is primarily responsible for meeting customer needs on the day of the event from set-up through break down, reviewing rental agreements and ensuring the event services are provided timely.

Experience as a lead worker, person-to-person customer service, cash handling or related experience; in addition, must be willing to work as part of a team; and provide a high level of service to our customers. Must have a valid Texas Class C Driver's License with a good driving record. The successful candidate must demonstrate intrinsic motivation, high ethical and moral standards, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, maintain a flexible schedule and must clear a post-offer physical, drug test, and criminal background check.

Starting range is $11.81 - $14.78 per hour, depending on qualifications.
