Performs advanced (senior level) data engineering and systems analysis work, designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure to support agency data processing needs. Works under minimal supervision with considerable independent judgment.

Designs and develops data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration workflows across on-premises and cloud platforms. Leads migration of data from the legacy Oracle environment to Databricks, including data modeling, transformation logic, and validation. Develops and maintains Databricks pipelines to support ongoing data processing, analytics, and reporting needs. Participate independently in system design meetings for new agency initiatives, ensuring data architecture and pipeline scalability.

Serves as lead on data engineering projects of varying complexity and may mentor junior team members.

Requires strong familiarity and hands-on experience with Databricks, including pipeline development, workflow orchestration, and performance optimization. Experience with Oracle and legacy database environments is preferred, along with the ability to support downstream reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau) as needed.
