Director of Operations

Director of Operations for Rhee Bros Texas is a high-level position that will be responsible for helping launch operations as well as the job responsibilities listed below.

Job Title: Director of Operations

Reports to: Vice President of Operations

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of the Rhee Bros Texas facility, employees and overall operational effectiveness
• Responsibility for accurate picking processes utilizing WMS and BC
• Management and troubleshooting of shipping processes, packaging processes and timely dispatching of product
• Responsible for overseeing the receipt of inventory across all shifts. Includes daytime receiving, and second shift where applicable
• Ensures that for all product received; quantity, condition, and dates are accurately recorded in systems
• Responsible for regular review of space planning in the warehouse to ensure capacity goals
• Responsible for clear and timely responses to freight carriers and Ryder focusing on a high level of service to our customers
• Works closely with IP team to troubleshoot shortages and product damages due to shipping
• Work with temp labor services to ensure proper planning of lumper/unloading services based on inbound volume
• Work with Ryder team to manage container and yard rotation process
• Develops actionable KPI's for receiving team to ensure a productive receiving process
• Manages RBT budget and reports monthly expenses and variances in a timely manner
• Manages all employee relations regarding corrective actions, scheduling and welfare in partnership with the Human Resources team
• Manages communication with local inland port (UP-Wilmer) to ensure timely service
• Management of Ryder relationship regarding trucking and intermodal actions to RBT and the overall process within the Rhee Bros supply chain
• Management of facility equipment and vendor providers for the facility
• Develops and maintains weekly throughput metrics and labor spend to budget and reports any variances to executive team

Competencies,

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• 10-15 years' work experience in supervision/leadership role required
• Proven experience of working with teams, flexibility and understanding inbound and receiving process
• Proven experience in managing a budget and reporting variances appropriately
• Experience in working with vendor partners to negotiate appropriate pricing and service levels
• Acumen for developing or improving current productivity measure (KPI's) and reporting out results in detail
• Experience in recruiting productive employees to execute the vision of Rhee Bros
• Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management or similar relevant field expertise desired
