Position: Aircraft Mechanic I (Hydraulics/Pneudraulics) CBA Fort Hood, TX with Security Clearance
Location: Fort Hood

The Aircraft Mechanic I (Pneudraulics) maintains, modifies, and repairs hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components that actuate mechanisms or produce, control, and regulate the flow of fluids (liquids and gases), tests for and isolates malfunctions in hydraulic and pneumatic systems or components, utilizing technical manuals and schematics, and modifies, repairs or disassembles and overhauls systems or components. * Flight Controls (UH-60)
* Integrated Lower Control Actuator (ILCA) (CH-47)
* Fabricates:
* Metal Tubing
* Teflon Hose Assemblies
* Maintains:
* Hydraulic Pump (CH-47)
* The Aviation Ground Power Unit (AGPU)
* The Generic Aviation Nitrogen Generator (GANG)
* The Hose Tester
* Operates:
* The Aviation Ground Power Unit (APGU)
* The Portable Hydraulic Purification System
* Performs:
* Bleeding Procedures on Flight Control Hydraulics Systems (CH-47)
* Bleeding Procedures on Utility Hydraulics System (CH-47)
* Purification of Hydraulic System (CH-47)
* Service on Nitrogen Bottles using the Generic Aviation Nitrogen Generator (GANG)
* Repairs:
* Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Start Module Accumulator (CH-47)
* Bleed Air Shutoff Valve (UH-60)
* Hydraulic Reservoir Cooler (CH-47)
* Hydraulic System Fill Module (CH-47)

* Landing Gear Brakes (CH-47)
* Main Landing Gear Shock Struts (UH-60)
* Main Landing Gear Wheel Brake (UH-60)
* Main Rotor Damper (UH-60)
* Parking Brake Valve Assembly
* Tail Landing Gear Shock Strut (UH-60)
* Tubing using Perma-swage Method
* Replaces: * (CH-47) Rosan Adapters
* Pitch Trim Assembly Stability Augmentation System (SAS) Servo Valve (UH-60)

* Troubleshoots Pilot Assist Module (UH-60)
* Applies corrosion preventative procedures.
* Uses and performs operator maintenance on ground support equipment, common and special tools.
* Performs limited maintenance operational checks.
* Performs scheduled inspections and assists in performing special inspections.
* Requisition s bench stock for repair of powertrain systems and subcomponents.
* Prepares request for turn ins and repair parts and powertrain components.
* Prepares forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.
* Removes and disassembles defective parts of the aircraft.
* Maintains the supplies and perform preventive maintenance.
* Performs additional duties, including maintenance duties, as requested.
* Adheres to company policies and safety programs (Safety-first mentality).

Minimum Requirements
* High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
* U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is desired, certification of education level is required.
* Valid up-to-date A&P license (optional )
* Shall have three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing aircraft experience, and two years on the assigned Mission Design Series (MDS). All experience must be within the six most recent years.
* Valid Driver's License.
* Must provide own tools/toolbox. Recruiters will provide toolbox requirements to candidates upon selection. Clearance Requirements
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI(T1) Public Trust Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization to work at this facility. Knowledge & Skills
* Thorough knowledge of aircraft powertrain systems and subsystems and repair.
* Basic knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, hydraulic press machine, and those listed in the assigned MDS Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC).
* Working knowledge of technical publications and Logistics Information Systems.
* Able to prioritize workloads to maintain schedules on assigned projects
* Possess the level of experience to inspect all required aeronautical type maintenance to be performed by an aircraft powertrain mechanic.
* The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more…
