AboutThe Role
UTEX is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team! This role is responsible for evaluating and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve performance, quality, and efficiency across our operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives on continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Independently develop and optimize manufacturing processes
- Define and implement process variables, measurements, and controls
- Write and revise process standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Train operators and quality technicians on new and existing processes
- Apply Lean manufacturing tools to improve efficiency and product quality
- Collaborate with Chief Engineers and Product Engineers on new product development
- Research and implement innovative manufacturing process capabilities
- Manage process stability and continuously improve First-Pass Yield
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in process engineering or a related field
- Proven experience managing manufacturing processes
- Strong skills in process design and improvement
- Proficiency in Lean manufacturing and quality control methodologies
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
Physical Requirements
- Combination of office and manufacturing environments
- Moderate walking, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
- Must be able to conduct inspections and carry related equipment
- Regular, predictable attendance required
