Role: Plant Manager III
Location: Center, TX 75935-Onsite
Client: Tyson Foods
Salary: USD $163,000 – $215,000 / yr
Type: Permanent/Full Time

Must‑Haves- Poultry manufacturing experience – preferably with Tray Pack experience
- Leadership skills – this role supports a facility of approximately 1,200 team members
- Union experience
- Must be able to lead a team in a union environment
- Must be a strong leader in developing other leaders (current leadership team at the facility is very "green")
- Must understand poultry manufacturing – preferably Tray Pack experience – but must have experience in a kill facility
- Experience/understanding with food safety and regulatory compliance
- 8+ years of poultry manufacturing
- 6+ years of leadership – preferably of large complex facilities or crews
Poultry manufacturing
Education RequirementsBachelor's degree preferred, but extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Variable Compensation- 25% annual bonus
- $25,000 long‑term incentive
- This position is responsible for all functional areas of a poultry processing plant, including the efficient operation of three production shifts, maintenance personnel, safety, shipping, receiving, sanitation, scheduling, quality, and process improvement.
- Motivate managers to provide guidance and programs to enhance the skill level of their employees.
- Resolve issues related to the quality of incoming and outgoing goods and review cost and performance data to determine areas that need improvement.
- Compile a monthly expense and efficiency report.
- Promote and explain the TQM philosophy to employees.
- Obtain approval and execute all capital improvements for the plant.
- Facilitate the Talent Mapping and Succession Planning programs and support the Retention program.
- Ensure food safety, food quality, and legality.
- Initiate discussion and implementation of improvement in all phases of production.
- Assist in identifying, evaluating, and correcting problems and perform other responsibilities as the need arises.
- Broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor s degree or equivalent.
- Progressive 8+ years of experience. Applicable experience in the Food Processing Industry preferred.
- Responsible for managing several groups of personnel who perform diverse tasks and activities in more than one department.
- General knowledge of computer programs used in the operation of the production plant (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and working knowledge of SAP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Travel: 6 to 11 trips per year.
