Serving craft artists through emergency relief, preparedness, education + advocacy
For 40 years, the Craft Emergency Relief Fund has provided emergency relief for craft artists. Building educational resources to empower craft artists to prepare for, navigate and thrive in the wake of emergencies and disasters, CERF+ remains a dedicated partner and advocate for craft artists and the craft community.
The Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF+) provides craft artists with support and resources for disaster and emergency relief, education programs, and readiness grants to strengthen preparedness. Committing to generosity, inclusion, and care, we advocate for the thrive-ability of craft artists and craft as an art form.
Our grant programs provide readiness, relief, and recovery for craft artists.
Our relevant and timely on-demand education is accessible and affordable.
Participants incorporate our signature content and expert strategies into their work.
Together we can strengthen the craft artist ecosystem through fundraising, storytelling, donations, and more!
Work-life balance is an important part of overall wellness for employees across all fields, and CERF+ recognizes that the nonprofit sector is especially prone to burnout, poor work-life balance, and excessive time demands. Our commitment to a healthy work-life balance is reflected in our policies and practices.
CERF+ offers Get Ready Grants, providing craft artists with grants up to $1,000 for activities to safeguard their studios, protect their practices, and prepare for emergencies.
CERF+ offers $3,000 Emergency Relief Grants to craft artists who experienced a recent and substantially disruptive emergency or disaster.
Let's build a stronger, more inclusive craft community together.CERF+ is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates. We are committed to creating a workplace that is inclusive and respectful of all employees.
