About the RoleThe Director of Nursing at the Bradford Health Services is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the entire nursing department to ensure the delivery of high‑quality patient care. This role involves strategic planning, staff management, and the implementation of nursing policies that align with healthcare regulations and organizational goals. The Director of Nursing will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to promote a culture of continuous improvement, patient safety, and professional development.
They will also be accountable for budgeting, resource allocation, and compliance with state and federal healthcare standards. Ultimately, this position aims to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency through effective leadership and nursing excellence.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient care standards, and nursing best practices.
- Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related advanced degree.
- Certification in Nursing Administration (e.g., Nurse Executive Certification).
- Experience working in long‑term care or rehabilitation settings.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare technology.
- Demonstrated success in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage nursing staff to maintain high standards of clinical care and professional conduct.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate with medical staff and administration to optimize patient care delivery and address any clinical issues.
- Oversee staffing schedules, recruitment, and training programs to ensure adequate and competent nursing coverage.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and supplies to support efficient nursing operations.
- Monitor patient care quality indicators and implement improvement initiatives as needed.
