Aveanna Healthcare is seeking Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPN/LVN) to provide skilled nursing care to adult patients in Floresville, TX.

Available

Shifts:

Monday–Friday (7:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m.)

Our client has an adult patient who requires feeding tube and medication administration. Training will be provided.

Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse, following the care plan and physician orders while maintaining confidentiality standards.

Essential Job Functions
  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders
  • Continuously observe and assess patient condition; report changes to supervisor and/or physician
  • Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care promptly
  • Participate in, implement, and update the nursing care plan
  • Take appropriate nursing actions based on assessment to achieve expected outcomes
  • Recognize changes in patient needs and responses; intervene to prevent or reduce risk
  • Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, regulations, and the Nurse Practice Act
  • Use infection control measures to protect staff and patients per OSHA standards
  • Educate patients and families regarding disease process, self‑care, and prevention strategies
  • Maintain knowledge by participating in ongoing education and skill evaluations
Qualifications
  • Active, unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state of practice
  • Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of residence within 90 days
  • Current CPR certification (hands‑on component);
    Aveanna can assist after hire
  • Recent TB skin test (within last 12 months)
  • Six months of prior hands‑on nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Reliable transportation
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a licensed nurse
  • Current CPR certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care policies and procedures
Additional State Specific Requirements
  • South Carolina – One (1) year of pediatrics experience
  • California – One (1) year of experience working under current nursing license
  • Louisiana – One (1) year of experience working as a licensed nurse
  • Continuing education as required by state
Preferences
  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a licensed nurse in a clinical setting
  • Home health experience
