Aveanna Healthcare is seeking Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPN/LVN) to provide skilled nursing care to adult patients in Floresville, TX.

Shifts:
Monday–Friday (7:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m.)
Our client has an adult patient who requires feeding tube and medication administration. Training will be provided.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse, following the care plan and physician orders while maintaining confidentiality standards.
Essential Job Functions- Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders
- Continuously observe and assess patient condition; report changes to supervisor and/or physician
- Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care promptly
- Participate in, implement, and update the nursing care plan
- Take appropriate nursing actions based on assessment to achieve expected outcomes
- Recognize changes in patient needs and responses; intervene to prevent or reduce risk
- Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, regulations, and the Nurse Practice Act
- Use infection control measures to protect staff and patients per OSHA standards
- Educate patients and families regarding disease process, self‑care, and prevention strategies
- Maintain knowledge by participating in ongoing education and skill evaluations
- Active, unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state of practice
- Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of residence within 90 days
- Current CPR certification (hands‑on component);
Aveanna can assist after hire - Recent TB skin test (within last 12 months)
- Six months of prior hands‑on nursing experience preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Current, unrestricted state license as a licensed nurse
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care policies and procedures
- South Carolina – One (1) year of pediatrics experience
- California – One (1) year of experience working under current nursing license
- Louisiana – One (1) year of experience working as a licensed nurse
- Continuing education as required by state
- Six (6) months of recent experience as a licensed nurse in a clinical setting
- Home health experience
- Attention to detail

- Speak, write, read, and understand English
- Travel ability
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
- Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting

- Visual and hearing acuity
- A strong sense of smell and touch
- Respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport
- Function in a variety of environments that may involve exposure to allergens and other conditions
- Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases
